Dear CCLBL Members,

The past 2 months have been rather unusual for all of us due to the COVID 19 situation. I hope you, your beloved ones and team members are doing well.

The lockdown came exactly 2 weeks after my nomination as President of the Câmara de Comércio Luso-Belga-Luxemburguesa (CCLBL). My enthusiasm and ambition to boost the Chamber was immediately put to the test.

Despite the confinement period, I am happy to say that we have been busy over the past weeks to review our internal functioning and prepare the Chamber for a next chapter taking into account our new reality.

Our main objective for 2020 is to modernise our service offering, develop a stronger collaboration between the public and private sector. We aim at attracting members representing different economic sectors, with a special attention to start ups, sustainable development and innovation.

While we are all preparing our return to the outside world, I am very pleased to announce the Chambers partnership with NÃM, a circular economy initiative and urban farm, up-cycling coffee waste into fresh Oyster mushrooms and organic fertilizer, founded by Belgian young entrepreneur Natan Jacquemin.

It is part of our innovative approach to develop a new service for start ups.
