ANTWERP ROTTERDAM PORT OF THE FUTURE WEEK 2026


Dear members and partners,


We are pleased to share the announcement of the Port of the Future Week 2026, an international event dedicated to showcasing cutting‑edge technological and innovative solutions for port activity, as well as fostering new international partnerships across the sector. The initiative will take place from 15 to 17 September 2026, in Antwerp (Belgium) and Rotterdam (The Netherlands).


Event Overview


15 September – Antwerp

  • DroneHorizon — An international event focused on drones and autonomous systems applied to infrastructure, logistics and port operations.
  • MODI Project Event — A European initiative accelerating the deployment of connected, cooperative and automated mobility (CCAM) solutions, promoting safer, more efficient and more sustainable logistics chains.

16 September – Antwerp

  • Autonomous Summit — A full day dedicated to autonomous technologies in port environments, featuring real‑life demonstrations, startup and scale‑up presentations, R&D showcases, interoperability cases, pitching sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Key partners include De Blauwe Cluster, Imec, Flanders Make, The Beacon, MODI and the European Commission/DG MOVE.

17 September – Rotterdam

  • Conference “Ports in Transition: Building Resilient Ecosystems” Organised by the Port of Rotterdam and Port of Antwerp‑Bruges, marking the conclusion of the MAGPIE and PIONEERS projects. Participants will discover the main results achieved, including demonstrators, digital tools and the Master Plan for the Green Transition of European Ports. The programme includes debates and presentations on energy transition, digitalisation, automation and large‑scale implementation of innovative solutions, as well as several networking moments.

This initiative aims to mobilise Portuguese companies, port authorities and organisations active or interested in ports, logistics, maritime transport, innovation, digitalisation, energy and supply chains, strengthening their connection with leading European stakeholders in the sector.
